Sobre o Haecceity
Cada faixa nasceu a partir de improvisações, e, à exceção da Anoesis, foram todas finalizadas uma hora ou menos. Possui um feeling muito distinto dos dois anteriores, Hermétique e Habeas Corpus.
Estão presentes umas nuances frias, como se tivesse nascido dentro de um igloo, mas ao mesmo tempo quente, como se tivesse sido nutrido num ambiente com muito carinho. É uma influência directa das pessoas que me rodeiam estes últimos dias, especialmente, e em particular, de alguém muito especial que me tem vindo a transportar para os lugares mais felizes que a minha mente pode estar. É por isso que faço questão da sua presença musical em Raison d'Être. E dedico-lhe este trabalho.
Uma mistura de música em género mais clássico, como Anoesis e LL.L.LL, com um bocado de eletrónica experimental como Domus Glacialis e Haecceity, estas músicas fizeram parte de uma nova experiência para mim. Algo novo. Algo diferente. Algo único.
About
Every track was born from improvisations and, with the exception of Anoesis, they were all finished within an hour or less. This album has a very distinct feeling from my previous ones, Hermétique and Habeas Corpus.
There's some shades of cold, like if it was born inside an igloo, but at the same time warm, like if it was nurtured in a very affectionate environment. It's the result of the direct influence that comes from the people who have surrounded me these days and, in particular, from someone very special who's been taking me travelling to the most happy places my mind can be. That's why I insisted on his musical presence on the track Raison d'Être. And, this work is dedicated to him.
A blend of different music genres, with a bit of a classic approach like on the tracks Anoesis and LL.L.LL, with experimental electronica like Domus Glacialis and Haecceity, every track was part of a new experience for me. Something new. Something different. Something unique.

Haecceity, album ~
Haecceity (from the Latin haecceitas, which translates as "thisness") is a term from medieval philosophy first coined by Duns Scotus which denotes the discrete qualities, properties or characteristics of a thing which make it a particular thing. Haecceity is a person or object's "thisness". -
Anoesis ~
Being capable of shutting down my brain.
Shut down the thought. Shut down the stress maker machine. Shut down the narcotic conscience.
The state of Anoesis. I want to be in it.
And you are my ride to it.
I shall use your mind, embrace myself in you, and let you take me wherever you think Anoesis is.
And you always do it. Because you are Anoesis itself.

May we get lost inside our little igloo.
May I get frozen so that you can melt me with your heat.
And in the cold darkness a shiny light emerges.

Raison d'Être ~
Each collision between your fingers and your guitar strings...
It is a majestic event from which a vibration is born. And like every being, it searches for its home. It goes through the air, and into my ears.
My ears are their home. And I feel it, each note. Each melody.
And the music that it forms makes me feel at home too.
